She batted her eyelashes.
"Maybe...."
Goten looked confused.

Was I out of my mind? How could I do that? Oh well.... I just must face the facts

“oh, cool, Pan, look, I can see the park, that green blob there, come on Pan, land!” Bra urged.

"Who me? Never. I've just been busy that's all."
"Probably busy with the harem he keeps in that little black book of his," she thought to herself.
"Busy doing what?" she inferred suspiciously.
Goten got an embarrassed look on his face

        "It's broken,"  he said matter-of-factly.
        "No it's not," Marron protested and tried to hold still as Pan and the stranger examined her ankle.
        "No, it's not."  Pan agreed and rewrapped the swollen joint with fresh bandages.  "It's twisted."  She turned to the new guy.  "Who are you?"
        He blushed and shuffled back and forth between his feet.  "Son Goten."
        Marron smiled, despite her pain, and reached to shake his hand.  "Thank for the help, Goten-san.  I'm Marron."  She looked over to a distracted Pan.  "And this is my best friend, Pan."

I didn’t care that I was crying. They thought that I was dead. Wouldn’t they know? I always thought that they would know when I died. I always thought I would know when they died. The tears were rolling from my eyes by the time I stepped in the house. My uncle was standing there, not knowing what to do. I didn’t know what I was supposed to do, either. Bra came up to me and hugged me, tears falling from her eyes as well.

    He nodded and his wife sat down.  She told me her name was Videl, and I touched her hands.  She flinched.
        ...She wonders if she married too soon...  She wouldn't have married at all, but she thought she was pregnant...  She thinks her father is a con artist, and her daughter is a spoiled brat...  She loves her husband, but is intimidated by his family...
        "You really love ya man.  Ya wonder if ya have no life.  Ya think ya daughter is too wild."  I smirked my father's smirk.  She was too easy read.

I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to write these.  This diary has seen the loss of the three most important men in my life.

But he came back the next night, and the night after that.  And he would just stand there and smile at me.  And it was a devilishly wicked smile that made me want to just melt into a puddle on the floor. 

We spent hours getting drunk and partying.  That's the way it always was with us.  We go out, get drunk, go home, and try to sleep off the aftershocks.

It all held a surreal feeling:   Bra's worried phone call, the dying ki, Pan's body falling from the chair, her whispered words.

It was good that Trunks had some friends.  "Children," she addressed in a very serious tone.  Trunks frowned.  Bulma knew that he hated it when she called him by "child".  Even though he was almost twenty-two, he still had moments when he behaved as a child.  Bra laughed, and Trunks bit back a snicker as Bulma tried again.  "Children!"  They stopped their laughing and looked at her.  "I expect you to clean up your mess," they looked to the floor

There was no answer, and I didn't expect one.  "I've thought this over until my head hurts over and over again.  "Why did you leave?  Why you?"  I started running my hand over the cool stone.  "I lie awake at night, imaging you by my side, and it's so real."  I wiped at my tears with the back of my sleeve.  "But then I turn to see you better, and then you're not there.  It's tearing me apart inside."  The tears started again, and I started toying with a flower.  "I don't want to go on like this.  I don't want to go on without you."

 "Did you tell your parents about it?"  Pan asked with a glint of humor in her voice.
        "No way!  My dad would freak out."
"I don't know, Marron.  Maybe you really shouldn't eat anchovies on your pizza."  Marron finally turned around and eyed the boys walking behind them.  There were no less than thirty shopping bags and boxes piled across both of them.
She looked to the one on the left, the one that had spoken, "Goten--"
"Uncle Goten."  Marron cringed.  Pan could have a really high pitch if she wanted to.  "This is a girl conversation!  You're not supposed to listen in!"

Vegeta felt the boy's power dying just seconds after Kakarot did.  They raced to the fading power, unable to lock onto the enemies' energy.  Vegeta watched the boy fall with cold indifference.  Goten was barely alive.

I could feel him shaking his head, "No."  His finger traced the line of my jaw, and then down my neck.  "I haven't seen her since dinner."
   It was unnerving feeling his hand on my neck like that, but I didn't do anything against it, "I want you to talk to Gohan and Videl about it.  I don't want her to do something that we'll all regret."
   His hand moved around my waist, "Like kill herself."  He whispered into my ear.  His mouth was pressing hot kisses against the back of my neck.
I knew exactly where this was going.  I don't think either of us was concentration on our conversation.  I flipped over to face him, and his hand moved up to my lips.  So much for moving on.  "Exactly."

They tried as much as they could to keep their relationship quiet but it didn’t last. The truth was revealed and they had to split up.

He walked into Taco Bell to get a bite to eat.
" I must be seeing things! That's her! #18!" Krillen shouted at the beautiful blonde counting her thick stack of money.
"It's you! You're the one who wished the bombs to be taken out of me and you crushed that shut-off device."18 said.
"Wow what are you doing here?" Krillen asked.
"What do you think baldie." She replied.
"You sure do have a lot of cash! Where do you work?" Krillen asked.
"Men pay to arm wrestle and fight me. Of course I always win." She said.
"Where do you live?" Krillen asked.
"Mostly on rooftops and such. And what's with all the questions?" She said starting to get angry.
"Sorry. I just bought a new house and I have a lot of space. You stay with me if you want." He offered.

Soon Trunks and Goten were out of planet Vegeta’s atmosphere and Trunks had a huge smile on his face. 
“So were exactly are we going?” asked Goten.
 “Anywhere but back there,” said Trunks. 
“Look, can we talk about this?” asked Goten. 
“There is nothing to talk about!” said Trunks getting angry.
